Do People Really Get Results From Teleclasses and Online Coaching?

Monday, January 14th, 2013

Do you ever take a moment to think about how much change has occurred in the past few years? One of the changes you may have been part of is the emergence of teleclasses, group coaching calls, social media support groups, digital audios and YouTube videos. Five years ago if someone would have told me that this would be THE area where coaching clients would be having some amazing successes, I would have quickly volunteered my skepticism. I am a face-to-face person and I like being with real people. I wondered if people would experience the self-care practices and tips with the same intensity as they do in my office or live seminar settings. Fortunately, I am also open minded and was willing to give it a try.

Now that I have facilitated several hundred teleclasses and group calls and well and even more phone coaching sessions, I know these distance-coaching format works just as well as the in-person events. I know that because I have testimonials from live and virtual formats on identical content that I have facilitated during the same time period. A few details might be different from the delivery style, but the results came through and the same! If you are on the fence about enrolling in an online format with me, I also put doubts to rest by offering a guarantee that you will be satisfied.

The Obvious Benefits:
* Group programs serve more people per hour
* No expensive gasoline, winter driving or travel time is involved
* Digital recordings allow participants to get the information at the most convenient time
* Technology for teleclasses and digital coaching services are easy to use, reliable and low cost (sometimes even free!)
* A low per person investment for a high value offering so that everybody gets more for less time, effort and money

Want more proof?
It delights me to share just a few of the most recent comments that came through from participants in my December 2012 Waist Management Virtual Coaching Support Group, which included weekly live calls:

“The variety of support was a key piece for me. Email, Facebook, U Tube, phone conferencing, recorded calls for later play. All at MY convenience. Thank you.”

“The Waist Management program was a fun, supportive and informative program that helped me to be mindful of what I truly wanted to do over a very difficult food season, Christmas. Thank you.”

“I was very committed to this program because of the quality of Betsy’s work, sharing, suggestions and teaching tools that she used to help us achieve a better understanding of health and waist management. I will continue on with everything I’ve learned.”

“This program gave wonderful group support without leaving the comfort of my home. Interacting with others on Facebook and during the live calls was valuable for me. Tapping proved to be vital to my success for this month. A December without Christmas cookies? This is a first. Success is a direct result of a tapping exercise, my desires changed!”

“This was a great program. I loved it. The seed has definitely been planted for me to start fresh in January. If the program continues or there is another one, I want to be included.”

“You always do a great job being a facilitator, you are uplifting and fun with your classes and teleseminars.”

“Betsy’s humor, compassion, and optimism helped me to stay the course. Her program was affordable and offered the structure and daily reminders I needed to stay on my weight reduction plan. I lost 4 pounds in 25 days and have kept that weight off during the holidays.”

“Betsy has the uncanny ability to put her finger right on the issue at hand. With her gentle and kind approach, you feel like you can conquer any problem no matter how big or how small.”

“I found the advice to be practical, down to earth and easy to follow. There was no eccentric eating plans or changes to my lifestyle.”

“It is helpful to me when you mention your own struggles and how you work through them. This program helped though the holidays. I did not stay on track perfectly but to enjoy all the temptations of the holidays within reason was my goal. I liked the drink video. I decided to skip the wine at my next party for a few more cookies!”

“Although Betsy was leading the group, she was going through it & participating in the same way everyone else was. As a participant it is always more comforting to me to know that Betsy really understands our concerns & has shared them. She really lives what she is teaching us.”

Time is Precious – Use it or Lose It!

Friday, December 21st, 2012

Hello world. It is 12/21/12 and the end the world as we know it. If you had been procrastinating about life, work, goals or setting a course for your business in the days ahead, it looks like you’ve been given an extension of time. NOW WHAT?

Today’s video is a quick tapping routine I often use when feeling anxious about not having enough time. It produces some rather astounding results for me and I share it with you as a way to boost your day as well. Your beliefs and thoughts can warp time. I challenge you to try this!

Taking a Pause for Integrity

Tuesday, November 27th, 2012

I woke up today feeling disappointed and very upset as I checked my iPhone for updates. No additional registrations had come in during the night for Wednesday’s EFT class. It was time to pull the plug and cancel. Doing so was admitting failure and also realizing that maybe people don’t even care about energy self-care.

As long as I was facing reality this morning, I decided to step on the bathroom scale. I knew that the number would be up, but when I saw the reading, I recoiled in disgust. I guess there is a very real reason my clothes have been tight. Ouch! Why had I been so careless these past two weeks? With the holidays approaching, is it even possible to imagine that I could burn off those pounds and the 2 extra inches I have gained around my middle? An ugly reality for the author of Winning at Waist Management to admit, but it is the truth.

Pity parties are not my thing, yet here I am feeling embarrassed and out of integrity. Could there be a way to turn this into something to benefit others as I get back on track? Is there a holiday gift wrapped up in this mess?

As I completed my workout on the elliptical trainer this morning in a desperate attempt to change the situation, I thought to myself, “What else would a great coach recommend to turn this situation around?” It was time for a pause, a quiet mind and refreshed focus. As I meditated in my office, the answers were soon flying in.

It occurred to me that I always get great results for my own life and a smaller waistline when I teach what I know. What if I was to begin a series for people to take the waist management journey with me during December when there are so many challenges? Could we all be better off and ahead of our game when 2013 rolls in? Are there other ways I use my talents to help others make the best of this last month of 2012? My calendar said yes. A program could be produced. It could be a series set up as an automatic course with live support and a private FB group too. Would my connections like this? Would they want this sort of a holiday gift?

Here’s the program I have in mind:

1. Begins on Monday Dec. 3 and runs through Dec. 28

2. Participants will receive a daily email with a topic and a resource such as a video, article, tracking tool or self-care process.

3. We will cover a variety of issues such as diet, exercise, emotions, beliefs and handling personal challenges. I will pull from my 21+ years as a lifetime member of weight watchers to bring depth to the discussion.

3. On Wednesdays at 4 PM EST (Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26), there will be a live 45 minute call for questions, discussion and checking in.

4. A private FaceBook Group will be established for all members of the program as a forum for sharing ideas, support and resources.

5. The cost for the entire 25 day program is ONLY $9.95 (just 40 cents a day!) for those who enroll between now and Friday Nov. 30. After that, the price increases to $39.95 – which is still less than $1.60 per day. Indigo Connection Premium members are invited to participate FREE!

6. All program enrollees will be entered into a drawing for 4 hours of private EFT or energy makeover coaching with me, which can take place any time in 2013.

7. Satisfaction Guaranteed

If you want to be part of the December 2012 Energy Makeover Waist Management Journey, enroll online at http://dec2012waistmanagement.eventbrite.com/ I look forward to taking this journey with you.

The Art of Thrills and Expectations

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton once said “High expectations are the key to everything.”

I am in complete agreement. High expectations are thoughts that are punctuated with images, feelings, dreams and ENERGY. Low expectations, on the other hand, are bland, apologetic and bracing for disappointment. Setting expectations is a choice. Have you checked your expectations today?

As an energy coach, a big part of my role working with clients is to help them create bigger and more exciting expectations for themselves. To be authentic in my work, I must constantly push my own expectations to higher places. I have come to love the challenge of that.

I don’t let disappointment invade my state of balance. I am not afraid of disappointment anymore. Fortunately I have energy self-care and EFT tapping to help me move on quickly after things don’t seem to go as planned. Now I believe in thrilling possibilities.

I remember entering a contest back in February 2012 which offered a spa vacation trip for two to Sedona AZ as a prize. As I entered that contest, I imagined myself taking that trip and enjoying it fully. I knew no matter what, that I would go to Sedona, even if I didn’t win that contest, and I allowed the thought of that to grow in my heart. Want to know something really cool? I won the contest and will be flying off with one of my girlfriends to enjoy that prize in a few days.

Where can you play with your expectations a bit in the next few days? One thrill you might enjoy is star-gazing. This week there is a higher likelihood of seeing a shooting star, especially if you are out on a clear night. I imagined myself witnessing the predicted meteor shower while outside on Saturday night, gazing at the clear sky and a beautiful array of sparkling stars. Did I see a single shooting star? NO! Determined not to give up, I showed up for star-gazing again early Monday morning, even though the odds of seeing a meteor were much lower. I kept looking straight up – and NOTHING but stillness. For a brief second, I shifted my gaze to the western horizon, and there it was – a brilliant bright meteor falling across the sky. Not where I had set my expectation, but showing up anyway.

What a thrill! Little things like that make my day and get jotted down on the gratitude list inside my daily journal. In spite of my expectations, the outcome was exceptional. The emotional boost resulted in a very productive day.

What might you expect for yourself today? I hope you set those expectations high.

California Seal Encounter

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

Business has taken me to the Lowe’s Coronado Bay Resort, a lovely waterfront oasis with access to luxurious stretches of Pacific beach. How brilliant I was to plan for some unstructured time before the ACEP conference.

My morning started early, awakened by birdsongs at 5:30 AM. My roommate and I are ready to get going because we are operating on Eastern Time. Splendid!

After a leisurely breakfast in the hotel café we happen to run into no other than Gary Craig, founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as we were leaving the dining area. He’s looking great and as always is generous with a hug. The first words out of his mouth were “Betsy – how’s that ankle doing?” Immediately I thought to myself, “Why is he asking me this? My ankle is great.” Then I quickly remembered exactly what he was referring to. Gary had worked with me on stage 3 years ago on ankle pain. In fact, there is a video of this session. The underlying issue Gary helped me see as connected to my ankle pain was my reluctance to be a “recognized healer”. The demonstration involved surrogate or distance healing with EFT and over 150 practitioners tapping for my benefit while I sat outside by a fountain.

Wow! I don’t recall my ankle being much of a problem at all since then. In fact, if it were ever to act up, today would be the day since I pushed it to the max by running for 60+ minutes on the beach yesterday. Hmmmm…very interesting. Today has presented a moment to bask in sincere gratitude.

Later that morning, I decided to return to the beach for another run. Why not – I am feeling wonderful today! As I made my way down the beach at a steady clip, I marveled again at how my ankle felt so strong, as well as the knee I had surgically repaired 2 years ago. As I looked into the horizon, I saw a crowd of runners approaching from afar. We eventually crossed paths – hundreds of men in uniform moving briskly. Big burley guys, soaking wet, carrying backpacks and covered with sand from head to toe. Most looked visibly miserable. They were Navy Seals in training. My heart went out to them.

Navy Seals are the best of the best – strong, young, exceptionally fit men, trained and pushed to reach way beyond normal human limits. A local woman I met on the beach told me that these guys had probably been up all night rowing and running, pushing their physical boundaries for the benefit of the USA. I imagine each of them knew they already had a gift for physical stamina when they enrolled in this prestigious group. As each man passed, I sent thoughts of appreciation and healing. Did they feel anything? Do any of them know about tapping and Energy Psychology? I smile, nod and silently thank each of them for being part of the force that supports peace on this planet.

After they passed, I thought to myself – we were all having the same experience, yet having such a different experience today. I’m running on this gorgeous beach in my bliss and they are doing the same, in pain. I soon find myself plunging back into gratitude. How lucky I was here to witness this spectacle and awaken me to the beauty of physical endurance.

Yes, thanks to EFT, I also realize that I am comfortable AND a recognized healer. So much more than my ankle was awakened and restored.

Mastering Fear……by Facing It

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Yesterday I received a very powerful reminder about fear that brought me to attention. After giving a luncheon seminar for the YWCA Leadership Series, one of the audience members came up to me and told me that we had met on June 21, 2010 at a Ladies Who Launch Meeting. I instantly remembered that night too. It was the longest day of the year and Susannah Goulder was the speaker. My long lost friend told me that she remembered how I stood up that night at Susannah’s urging and shared a big dream in front of about 50 witnesses. I had told the group that I was writing a book called Energy Makeover and that I envisioned myself being interviewed about the book on the NBC Today Show with Ann Curry. Boy that was courageous and outrageous! What was I thinking?

While I had long forgotten that moment at the LWL program, this kind woman had only a few moments ago learned that Energy Makeover had not only been published, but also had become an Amazon Best Seller. She was thrilled for me because she had been on this journey with me since June of 2010 and just had to speak up. My heart was warmed by this experience and I was also reminded of all the fear I had to overcome these past 2 years. Maybe I hadn’t been on the Today Show, but so many big dreams had come true.

What if I hadn’t faced my fear when…..

1. Being an author in Next Top Spiritual Author Contest required that I make and submit a video at a time when I did not think I had access to a video camera, tripod, editing software or a clue how edit or post something on YouTube. I learned what I needed to learn, released my need for perfection and did it anyway!

2. I had to ask every soul I knew to watch my imperfect video and vote for Energy Makeover on the Next Top Author Contest web site when I was embarrassed about being out there on YouTube and unfamiliar with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Social media in general. I learned to navigate social media, build my online network and get over my fear of being judged and criticized for revealing what I really look like and what I believe. I advanced to round 2 in that contest and more importantly created the foundation for future outreach and an online presence I never before imagined.

3. I didn’t advance to the final round in The Next Top Author Contest and felt I wasn’t good enough to be an author. I learned that I needed to hire a coach to get me motivated and inspired to get Energy Makeover completed. My coach, Ann McIndoo inspired me to share my unique message and taught me a great process anyone can use to write a book in 90 days in the midst of a busy life.

4. The Energy Makeover manuscript was finished and I realized that I could not let another soul edit or read it because I was afraid of judgment and criticism. I learned to shift out of the fear by seeking support. After scheduling a brief session with Coach Ann, I took her advice and on that same day hired a professional editor, rallied the help of 14 volunteer editors AND found a publisher. Later I was sensible enough to hire Peggy McColl to coach me on launching a book on Amazon and Holly Matson, a wonderful assistant to manage the book launch project.

5. I was flatly refused by many of the book launch partners I had hoped and assumed would be willing to help with the Energy Makeover Amazon launch. I learned, through my coach Peggy McColl, that I should forge ahead with the launch, keep asking and that it would all work out. That was the day I forgave myself for being such a control freak and decided to put it into God’s hands.

The existence of Energy Makeover and the events of this week would not have happened if I would have stopped at any of the “fear moments” mentioned above. It has always been my job to notice the fear, step into it and realize that fear simply brings forth an opportunity to learn and grow.

I must also admit that Energy Psychology and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) have been part of my fear-busting arsenal at every step of this journey. When I find the intensity building, I now more quickly recognize it and begin clearing it.
While fear can be very isolating, I also know to connect to a higher power and the outside world for help and expertise when I feel like shutting down.

There is a fork in the road at each terrifying moment that gives you the choice to isolate or connect. Connection is the only answer. Where there is connection, there lies a happy ending.

Practice Time: Ask yourself each day if there is something you aren’t doing because you are afraid of judgment, criticism, or some other nasty outcome? Have the courage to examine what you are really afraid of, use a self-care process like EFT to soothe your feelings, take a moment to pray as you ask who might be out there as a resource for you. In every case of fear, there is a resource waiting to respond to your need. Your burden will become so much easier once you are aligned with the intention to move forward.

Minding the Emotional Intensity of Life

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

As I prepare to lead a new book club call this week on the topic of Creating a Journal, I am reminded that journals are a place where we must reveal, pour out and examine our emotions with a sense of curiosity. So many people come to me seeking guidance on life purpose these days and my belief is that emotions are the answer. Emotions play a critical role in helping each soul navigate the big life lessons that bring true purpose to our unique mission as a human being.

Many coaches don’t delve into emotions as much as I do, preferring to leave that to licensed therapists. I must step up and say that coaches, especially someone like me who has specialized training in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or other energy self-care processes are a most appropriate resource for a healthy clients seeking to honor their emotions as part of a balanced self-awareness plan. EFT is an incredible tool for restoring balance of energy flow and creating a sense of well-being. What I love most about it is that it becomes a powerful self-care tool that helps you deal with emotions as they come up with a new sense of confidence.

Much of my coaching practice is about empowering clients to recognize and balance their energy by working with emotions for guidance. More often than not, the energy drains and blocks my clients report can be traced to emotions that have been repeatedly stuffed away for days, weeks, months and even years. You can’t heal what you don’t recognize. Stress and physical symptoms only compound as emotions get stuffed away. Having intense emotions does not mean that you are sick, mentally ill or depressed. Emotions mean you are human!

It is time to realize that each moment of extreme emotional intensity, whether it is a high blissful state or one of agony, teach us about who we are, what we value and what kind of path we are on.

Honoring Emotional Intensity in Your Journal
Consider beginning a process to document your emotional peaks and valleys each day. I suggest the following each morning as you reflect on the previous day:

1. List 3-5 of your peak “Intensity Moments” each day and identify what the emotion you felt was. Rate the intensity on a scale of 0-10. Intensity moments can be scenes of pure joy, gratitude, fear, worry, rage or anger just to name a few. They are the highest peaks and the lowest valleys. Some days you will have more of one extreme than another. If you don’t have much intensity some days, that is fine too. (I find this usually happens when I am on vacation and totally relaxed, which is interesting indeed!) Pay attention to the most intense things, be honest about what you feel, give them a name and a number rating.

2. Comment about how you dealt with the feeling. If you used a healing technique like EFT to process a painful or unpleasant emotion, jot down a note about what you did and how you felt after your self-care treatment. If you medicated your intense emotion with food, alcohol, cigarettes, surfing the internet or shopping, you might also want to admit this in your journal. Also jot down a note if you celebrated an emotional high through expressing gratitude or by sharing your joy with someone else.

3. Is this feeling or scene revealing your unique part of a bigger picture? Consider what this intensity is telling you about who you are. When your core values are disrupted or challenged, you will be agitated. When your values are served, you will feel calm and wonderful. Allow these intense feelings to reveal your mission, purpose and inner longings. As you use emotions to know yourself better, you will recognize how your unique nature fits into and helps you serve the world around you. It may take a few weeks to begin getting a sense of this, so instead of hurrying the process, simply witness and reflect on it.

You are here to be uniquely you, emotions and all. Pay attention and you will awaken a new way of understanding your deepest truth.

New Study Shows EFT Reduces Cortisol Levels and Stress

Monday, October 31st, 2011

After thousands of personal and amazing experiences using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) with clients and as a favorite self-care modality, I was overjoyed to learn about a new study which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease.

At last, data clearly demonstrates that cortisol, a well-documented biological marker for stress, is reduced significantly after just a single EFT intervention. This is exactly the kind of research that brings credibility to EFT as a treatment offering cost-effective and rapid relief for emotional pain and stress.

Below is the abstract of the study:

The Effect of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on Stress Biochemistry: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Dawson Church, PhD, Foundation for Epigenetic Medicine
Garret Yount, PhD, California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Research Institute
Audrey Brooks, PhD, Psychology Department, University of Arizona at Tucson
Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, (2011), in press.

Abstract
Cortisol is a physiological marker for stress. Elevated cortisol levels are associated with accelerated aging, many organic diseases, and psychological conditions such as depression and anxiety. This study examined the changes in cortisol levels and psychological symptoms of 83 non-clinical subjects receiving a single hourlong intervention. Subjects were randomly assigned to either an EFT group, a psychotherapy group receiving a supportive interview (SI), or a no treatment (NT) group. Salivary cortisol assays were performed immediately before, and thirty minutes after the intervention. Psychological conditions were assessed using the SA-45. The EFT group showed clinically and statistically significant improvements in anxiety (-58.34%, p < .05), depression (-49.33%, p < .002), the overall severity of symptoms, (-50.5%, p < .001), and symptom breadth across conditions (-41.93%, p < .001). There were no significant changes in cortisol levels between SI (-14.25%, SE 2.61) and NT (-14.44%, SE 2.67); however cortisol in the EFT group dropped significantly (-24.39%, SE 2.62) compared to SI and NT (p < .01). The reduced cortisol levels in the EFT group correlated with decreased severity in psychological symptoms as measured by the SA-45. These results suggest that salivary cortisol tests may be useful not only for assessing stress physiology, but also as an objective indicator of the impact of mental health treatments in reducing psychological symptoms. In the current study, EFT was shown to significantly improve both cortisol-related stress levels and self-reported psychological symptoms after a single treatment session.

Keywords: Cortisol, stress, depression, anxiety, physiology, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).

The Introduction to my new book – Energy Makeover®

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Energy Makeover ®© by Betsy Muller 2011

“In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours,
healing was accomplished by moving energy.”
Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine

I distinctly remember a time when truth about my life purpose hit me right between the eyes – and it terrified me. I was in the middle of a guided imagery session in the office of my friend and colleague Janie Ehrman. I had drifted into a lovely, relaxed state and felt myself fully connected to my wise inner advisor.

It was all going so well until Janie posed this question to my quieted mind, “Who are you?” she asked. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice reply, “I am a spiritual leader.”

The instant my mind heard those words, I broke into a violent burst of tears. When Jane eventually inquired as to what was going on, my shaken voice replied, “I don’t want to do that!” Unfortunately, I also knew deep inside that my wise inner advisor was telling the truth. I wasn’t ready to accept that truth! Unable to see the connection between the stressed out, unhappy woman who was sitting in the recliner that day and the leader I was destined to be, I thought to myself:

“Who would ever want to follow a stressed-out woman who was franticly struggling to get through each day with a fake smile on her face? How could a practical, rational, middle aged woman with over 25 years of solid business management experience, an MBA and a chemistry degree start life over again as a spiritual leader?
What kind of business was that?”

I realize today that my fears had everything to do with the word “spiritual”. I had somehow confused spiritual leadership with preaching and religion – things I never wanted or intended to do. What I had failed to recognize at that time was that SPIRIT IS ENERGY. When energy moves, spirit awakens! My energy was moving and my soul had been activated emotionally and spiritually. There was an attractive glow to that kind of conscious living and it was a quality I wanted to nurture for myself and share with others. That was the kind of spiritual leader I was evolving to be through my own Energy Makeover.

I will admit that my Energy Makeover transformation happened gradually. I began studying Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Touch for Health, Reiki, Neurolinquistic Programming (NLP) and a variety of other healing modalities on weekends. I also attended workshops and became an ordained non-denominational minister. Most of my early transformation involved working on myself, examining how energy self-care created ease in my daily life. The more I used it, everything got easier. I quit my job as General Manager of a group medical practice in early 2005 and soon announced the creation of my new coaching practice. Through speaking and group seminars, I gained confidence as a healer and began attracting a combination of business and energy coaching clients. Eventually I became certified as an Energy Coach, EFT Practitioner and ACEP Energy Health Practitioner.

I intended to publish this book over five years ago, but kept putting it off because I was scared. The excuses I gave myself were endless. I rationalized my reluctance by telling myself that I was not yet experienced enough as an expert, healer, leader, writer or coach to teach anyone what I knew to be true. Frankly, it came down to the fact that I was not ready to endure the criticism that I feared would come from sharing my truth in a way that defied the mainstream logic I had embraced for so many years.

Time, experience and what I know as the grace of God has changed me and allowed me to heal that fear and reluctance. Years of attending conferences, integrating new approaches and witnessing the healing transformation of my clients has been an empowering journey. This time of transformation in my own life has allowed me to see that life need not be such a struggle and that there are incredible opportunities for living in greater health, abundance and joy simply through the awareness and application of energy self-care. I am ready to humbly and honestly share what I know.

I must warn you that this book is not about scientific proof. It is purely my experience and my opinion. I offer a listing of books and references at the end of the book to appease my scientific readers. This book reflects that I believe the most powerful experiences of energy self-care come from experiencing something for yourself. You may enjoy reading, but the best part comes through FEELING as you apply the concepts in YOUR world.

I have been trained in science and have great respect for it, yet I also realize that science has a very hard time measuring subjective feelings and miracles. I often tell my clients and colleagues, “God doesn’t like to be measured!” One of my most beloved teachers and cofounder of the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology, David Gruder, PhD taught some important advice during my ACEP certification. He asked all of us to remain in a state of “enlightened stupidity”. What he meant by this was that if you think you know it all, you will always be wrong. It is far better to be curious and open. While I don’t like the idea of being stupid, I adore that enlightenment is the goal.

The day that I first uttered “spiritual leader” was a turning point which has taken me to where I am today and why I need to share what I know with you. You see, I have transformed my fear, healed my reluctance and realized that I am an eternal soul who mindfully chose this human life experience as a spiritual leader to make a difference. I have realized that leaders excel when they are creative, curious, open, balanced, enthusiastic, healthy, youthful and intuitive. I also recognize that utilizing social media, modern technology and having a polished image when working with the media are important tools that leaders must not fear and instead embrace with a positive attitude. Energy Makeover® addresses all of these things. Life in these times is complicated but also very exciting.

You, my dear reader, are a leader whether you are ready to admit it or not. You are attracted to this book because you are already a spiritual seeker and someone who is curious, just as I am. There is something within you reaching for more almost all of the time. Like me, you might also worry that getting older and taking care of the commitments you’ve already made to others is keeping you from fully manifesting your mission. Your soul may be feeling trapped, blocked or restricted too. It is my intention that this book will help you live with greater energy, purpose and ease.

I don’t claim to hold all of the answers for you, but through this book I will share a variety of discoveries that will allow you to experience your own unique Energy Makeover®. This makeover will activate the transformation of your energetic frequency, emotional health and a more powerful connection to everyone and everything. As this happens, your body may heal as you attract resources and find new opportunities for your talents. Spiritual leaders need not worry about leading alone. An army of enlightened leaders is emerging to protect and support one another as part of our mission. This book is my way of helping you navigate this exciting time with ease and in your own unique way. Our unique abilities and experiences give each of us a place in our Divine Creator’s plan.

If you know of a reluctant spiritual leader ready for a positive shift, please do your part by sharing this book with them as well. Please also share your stories of healing and empowerment with me. Know this is just the beginning of an amazing adventure we take together.

With love,

Betsy Muller
